A CYCLIST pulled an elderly woman to the ground in an attempt to steal her handbag.
The 75-year-old was knocked over as she walked along a cycle path near Norman Road, in Gosport.
The suspect was white, in his late teens or early 20s, with a fit physique and broad shoulders.
He was wearing a grey, long-sleeved T-shirt and had short, fair hair.
The 75-year-old victim was not injured and did not need hospital treatment after the incident which took place at 9.30am on Friday.
PC Matthew Morgan, from Gosport police station, said: ‘We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or has any information about the person responsible.’
