A shocked worker says she could have been blinded after someone fired what is thought to be an airgun pellet at her office window.
Nicky Patterson was sitting at her desk in the Clipper Ventures office in Royal Clarence Yard, Gosport, when she was suddenly showered with glass. The object left a circular hole in the window pane and sent fragments of glass flying across the 40-year-old’s desk.
She said: ‘I was pretty scared and shaken up. I was sitting at my desk and I heard a noise like something hitting cardboard. Then there was glass absolutely everywhere. If I wasn’t looking away from the window it could have blinded me.
Nicky called for help from a colleague in a nearby office but neither of them could see anybody outside.
The attack happened at 9am on Friday 18 November 2011. After searching the office, nobody was able to find the object that smashed through the window.
Police say they have not found any witnesses or CCTV footage. Anyone with information should call Gosport police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
