A student was threatened with a knife after refusing to buy drugs from men in a park.
The 18-year-old was walking home from college through Felicia Park, in Grove Road, Gosport, when he saw four men on bikes sat near the entrance. One of the group asked him if he wanted to buy drugs and when the 18-year-old refused, the man pulled a knife from his pocket and he ran away. The incident happened between 4pm and 4.30pm on Thursday.
Police now want to speak to anyone who can help identify the men. PC Hayden Smith, from Gosport police station, said: ‘There were many children playing in the park at the time of the incident. We would like to speak to anyone who could help us identify this group. Drug dealing and knife crime will not be tolerated. Parks should be an area of safety for children to play. This is a rare occurrence and we will continue to patrol the area. We would encourage suspicious activity to be reported as soon as possible.’
The man who pulled out the knife was around 20 years old, 5ft 8ins tall and had a slim build. He wore a dark-coloured hooded top and had a mohican hair cut. His top right tooth was either missing or decayed.
