Magistrates have given a man a curfew after he repeatedly drove off without paying for fuel.
Colin Mutavayi will have to stay in between 8pm and 7am every day for two months.
The 34-year-old left a Tesco filling station without paying for £80 worth of diesel in February last year. Four months later he returned and drove off without paying for £25 worth of fuel. He did the same at the Shell station in Farnborough Road, Farnborough.
Mutavayi, of Gorselands Way, Gosport, denied the offences. But he was found guilty after a trial at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court. The magistrates ordered him to pay £145 in compensation to the three stations.
