Following a spate of attempted burglaries and committed burglaries in Gosport, Hampshire Constabulary have issued the following appeals:
1) Police are appealing for information following an attempted burglary at a flat in Turner Avenue, Gosport. It happened between 7.30 and 11.15pm on Monday, December 30. The occupants went out for the evening and on their return discovered that an attempt had been made to gain entry to their property.
Anyone with information should contact police staff investigator Jane Dye at Fareham and Gosport Priority Crime team on 101. Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
2) Police are appealing for information after an attempt was made to gain entry to an address in Almondside, Gosport. It happened between 12 and 4pm on Thursday, December 26. An unsuccessful attempt was made to force open a porch door causing damage.

3) Police are appealing for witnesses after a house in Gosport was burgled over the New Year.
It happened sometime between 8.30pm on New Year’s Eve and 10.00am on January 1, when someone has entered a property in Dartmouth Court, Priddys Hard. A Packard Bell laptop, Xbox 360 and a 37 inch Phillips TV were stolen.
Investigating Officer, DC Dermot McBride of Fareham and Gosport Priority Crime Team said "Did you see or hear anything suspicious around this time? Keep your house safe. Do not leave keys in door or where they can easily be reached, this includes back door keys and keep rear garden gates locked and secure to prevent access.
Even if you are in the garden or upstairs, make sure you keep your doors and windows locked.
During this time of year consider using lighting timers if you are out of the house during the hours of darkness and leave a radio on.
