Come along to the ‘Time to Talk’ tea and chat drop in event hosted in Fareham Shopping Centre (next to Thorntons).
Time to Change has been promoting awareness raising conversations and anti-stigma campaigns around mental health since 2007. The social movement is funded by the Department of Health, Comic Relief and the National Lottery in partnership with national mental health charities Mind and Rethink Mental Illness.
The event on 6th February has been designated as a day to push for a million conversations on mental health, in work places, community centres or at home – anywhere a person can pull up a chair, have a cuppa and begin a chat that could potentially save lives.
From 09:30 – 15:00 on Thursday 6th February, members of the public are invited to drop by YOU’s pop up shop in Fareham Shopping Centre. The shop has been run by YOU’s Fareham and Gosport service since November 2013, offering free advice and support on housing, debt and benefits.
The day will provide an opportunity for discussion in a friendly, informal setting, with the aim to simply get people talking, whether they’ve experianced mental health issues or not.
