A thief was chased along a busy shopping street after stealing two phones and a bag from Tai Yi store in Stoke Road.
Receptionist Liping Pan had gone to the back of the store when a man walked into the shop, opened a cupboard and took the bag and mobile phones. Liping gave chase with the store owner and the pair were joined by a young man who managed to get a phone and the bag back from the thief who made off on a bicycle.
A phone was found shortly after the theft at 13:20 on Wednesday 23rd April.
The man made off in the direction of Elmhurst Road. He is white, 5ft 10in, stocky, in his 20s with short brown hair and stubble. He was wearing a grey jacket, dark coloured tracksuit bottoms and was carrying a large dark bag on the handlebars of a woman’s turquoise bike.
