More young people across the area will be supported thanks to an extension at the Charity Motiv8.
Work has started on the building in Toronto Place, Gosport earlier this month.
The extension to the building is due to be completed in June and will enable Motiv8 to offer improved facilities and reach out to more young people across Portsmouth, Fareham, Gosport and Havant.
Charities LandAid Charitable Trust Limited and The Clothworkers’ Foundation contributed to the funding enabling the work to start. Motiv8’s own Buy a Brick campaign has raised over £5,000.
Motiv8’s Gosport and Fareham services manager, Kirsty Cremer, said: ‘The new extension will give us more room to support young people in a confidential and safe environment, as well as office space and a specific area for our young people to access training, education and employment opportunities.’
