Officers have arrested a 28 year-old local man on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent following a serious assault in Gosport yesterday (Sunday, September 25th).
A 69 year-old man hit his head on the road following a dispute on the one-way system on bury road at around 5:50pm.
The injured man is currently being treated at the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham for a serious head injury.
He was with his wife who was in a wheelchair, when he had an altercation with another man who had been on a bicycle and who cycled off towards Stoke Road.
