Please be aware that thieves are actively using Strava and other cycling recording apps to identify where high value bikes may be kept. This primarily occurs when you post your recorded rides to the public domain, they will head over to the ride start/finish at their convenience and will target likely garages/sheds in the vicinity.
Advice being given is to start recording a short way from your home and stop recording a short way before you arrive at your door.
With Strava you can set up privacy zones. Access ‘settings’ on your acount and go to ‘privacy’ and this option will blank out the first half mile or so of your ride.
