The 18th October is Anti-Slavery Day – an opportunity to raise awareness of human trafficking and modern slavery. The UK Anti-Slavery Day Act was passed into law in April 2010, and the first Anti-Slavery Day took place on 18 October 2010. The Day aims to raise awareness of the dangers and consequences of modern-day slavery and human trafficking
