Drink driver gets banned from road

Drink driver Kirsty Taylor has been banned from getting behind the wheel.

Taylor pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle in Twyford Drive, Lee-on-the-Solent, after drinking too much on September 24.  A test revealed the 24-year-old’s blood contained 89 milligrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres. The legal limit is 80mg.

Taylor, from Anstice Court, Lee-on-the-Solent, was given a six-month conditional discharge by Fareham magistrates.  The 24-year-old was also banned from driving for a year.  The ban could be reduced by three months on the condition that she pays to complete a government-approved driving course by June 30, 2012.
