Youngsters setting fire to shrubbery and timber have sparked a warning from fire-fighters.
A crew from Gosport went to the woods near the Millennium Bridge at Priddy’s Hard at 8.30pm Tuesday night to a large blaze.
It took about 30 minutes for the crew to deal with the fire and then return back to the station.
Fire-fighter Steve Pearce, of Blue Watch, said: ‘It was a lot of old timber and shrubs. It’s tying up the time but also they’re not aware of the danger down there, thinking it’s just a bit of a game.’
