Hate Crime Awareness Week is an annual campaign and runs from 10th October – 17th October 2020. Stop Hate UK campaign encourages people to take a stand against hate crime and report all forms of this crime. Hampshire Constabulary have a page with definitions of the various types of Hate Crime and how to report this.
Third Party Reporting Centres are designated places or organisations where Hate Crime can be reported and recorded – there are two in Gosport which are Citizen’s Advice Bureau and Gosport Discovery Centre. Hampshire Police & Crime Commissioner website has information about the centres and an interactive map for you to find the nearest centre to you.
Hate Crime is a priority for Hampshire Youth Commission and you can find out how they are helping to raise awareness on their website. Hampshire Constabulary also have free resources for schools and youth clubs from their Safe4me website, which looks at respecting diversity and hate crime.
