Gosport MP Caroline Dineage and Fareham MP Suella Fernandes have joined forces in their support of a ban on legal highs.
On Monday 19th October, The Psychoactive Substances Bill passed its second reading in the House of Commons with a unanimous backing from MP’s.
The new legislation will see that produce, supply, offer to supply, possess with intent to supply, import or export will become an offence and will hold a maximum sentence of seven years imprisonment. The bill is now due to be taken to committe stage for scrutiny and is expected to become law within the coming months.
