An 18 year old male was walking in Wych Lane, Bridgemary when he was approached by two men at 12:45pm on Wednesday 5th March. One asked the victim for a cigarette and the teenager agreed to roll one.
The victim was listening to music on his iPhone and took it out his pocket when one of the suspects went to grab it, although the victim moved out of the way. One of the suspects then swung at him but missed. The victim then punched him in self-defence.
The first suspect was around 19 years old, 5ft 6ins to 5ft 8ins tall and was broad and stocky. He had a skull tattoo on his left collar bone, short black hair and a side parting. He was wearing grey Nike tracksuit bottoms and a Nike jumper.
The second man was skinny, around the same height and age, and had a full black beard. He was wearing a grey Nike hooded tracksuit with the hood up.
Hampshire Constabulary are now appealing for help and ask anyone with information to call 101.
