Sex attack in copse leads to Police appeal

Police are searching for a man who sexually assaulted a woman while she was picking blackberries in a copse.

The 40 year old victim was in Cawter’s Copse in Rowner, Gosport at 7pm on Wednesday.

A man came up from behind and grabbed the collar of her shirt before pulling her to the ground and indecently assaulting her.  She managed to ger free and leave the area, heading towards Little Woodhams Lane.  The suspect left in the opposite direction.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the man to come forweard.  He is described as white, around 6ft tall with short dark brown hair.  He is muscular and in his late 20s to early 30s.  He was clean shaven and wore dark grey tracksuit bottoms and dark blue hooded top with drawstrings on the hood.  The top had NY written on the front in white.
